About your Mount Pleasant insulation contractor
Why I chose lived-in homes
I spent my first years in this trade insulating new houses for builders, where the walls were open and one job looked a lot like the next. I found I liked lived-in homes better, because every attic and crawl space has its own story, so in 2023 I started E&F Mount Pleasant Spray Foam Insulation here in Mount Pleasant to work on them.
Most of our calls come from homeowners with a hot room upstairs, a drafty house or an attic they aren't sure about. Here that might be an older house near the Old Village or a newer one, and in a town that sees both drainage flooding and storm surge, I want to know what's going on under the floor. Before we add anything, I look for old wiring, water and fuel-burning appliances and talk it over with you plainly, because a home should come out better than we found it, without a new problem. To me a job isn't finished until you understand what we did and why.

What you can expect when we work on your house
We look before we add anything
Before new insulation goes in, we check your attic, crawl space or walls for soaked or dirty old material, open gaps around lights and pipes, and buried eave vents. Those problems are simple to fix now and hard to reach once they're under a fresh layer.
You deal with me from start to finish
I come out for the estimate myself, and after our install crew finishes, I go over the work with you before we call it done. You'll get a straight answer about what suits your house, even when a smaller job is the better choice, such as sealing gaps and topping up blown-in insulation, loose fill blown through a hose, rather than paying for foam when your ductwork isn't up in the attic.
Your rooms stay clean
We started out in new houses where nobody lived yet, so we take extra care in yours by covering the floors along our path and keeping attic dust out of your rooms. You shouldn't have to clean up after the people you hired.
Licensed for the work, insured for your home
Serving Mount Pleasant Since 2023
South Carolina contractor license
State law requires residential building and specialty contractors to hold a current South Carolina license or registration, and the Town of Mount Pleasant checks contractor licenses with the state licensing board. We're fully licensed and insured, so that check is settled before anyone climbs into your attic.
Town business license and permits
Any contractor working in the Town also needs a Town business license. Before work starts, we check with the building office for your address, whether that's the Town, another city or the county, and if your job needs a permit, we take care of the application and keep you informed.
